CHINI ~ The Malay Cuisine Restaurant


"A hundred kilometers south of Kuantan, Pahang is Tasik Chini. The thirteen fresh-water lakes that make up Tasik Chini are steeped in myths and mysteries, from the requisite stories of monsters in the lakes to legends of an ancient Khmer city on the site. Local stories assert that the mythical city would escape attack by sinking into the lake. The latter tale has attracted archaeologists to Tasik Chini, and structures have indeed been located on the bottom of the lake. Even if such evocations of Loch Ness and Atlantis leave you cold, the region's natural beauty is more than sufficient reason to visit. Between August and September, pink and white lotus flowers cover the surface of the water....."

Inspired by the abundance of natural resources of Pahang middle (the areas such as Raub, Lipis, Temerloh, Pekan are what most people would find "the real Pahang food"), our creative Chef has concocted the best selection of local recipes to showcase of what we call - the best of Pahang food.

All food prepared in Chini are of premium ingredients and artificial flavour-enhancers are totally banned from the recipes!

Located far away from its name-sake place, Chini Restaurant is located in the heart business district of Api-Api in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
